PORTABELLA MUSHROOM BURGERServes

6 medium portabella mushrooms, stems trimmed
2 tablespoons balsamic
vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
chopped
shallot
sea salt
cracked black pepper
whole wheat
buns
Garnishment Options:
lettuce leaves
tomato slices
Red
onion
avacado
roasted red peppers
fried eggs
bacon
sky's the
limit...whatever you like!
Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking
sheet with foil.
Clean the mushroom and remove the stems.
Combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, shallot, pinch of sea salt and few
turns of a black pepper mill and mix well to create a marinade.
Drizzle generously over the portobello mushroom gills. Let it sit for 15
minutes.
Place the marinated portabella mushrooms gills side
up in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
Toast the buns with a little
butter or oil on them for a few minutes in the hot oven if you want them
crunchy. Assemble your mushroom burger with whatever garnishmets you like.
